Minimised Vibration These rotors are optimised to create a consistent feel. The braking surface area remains consistent regardless of position on the rotor and helps to minimise the chance of unwanted friction vibration. Strong & Versatile Large cut outs in the design pattern ensure good ventilation and contribute nicely to keeping the rotor cool to prevent bending and warping. Constructed from 2mm thick stainless steel material it is extremely robust and able to take quite a beating, while rounded outer edges make the rotor easier to line up during wheel changes and less likely to cut in crashes. The SRAM X-SYNC tall square teeth edges engage the chain earlier than traditional triangle shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile in addition to the rounded chamfer edges helps to manage a deflected chain and support the chain guide with the resulting outcome being seen to provide maximum chain control and greater incidence of keeping the chain on the chain ring. To provide the best possible performance in muddy conditions, the X-SYNC chain rings have been designed with mud-clearing recesses for the inner chain links and rollers. Engineered in Germany, X-SYNC rings are an integral part of the SRAM 1x drivetrain.
